It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Can you believe the holidays are almost here?! The poinsettias are changing colors and are just about ready to go. We will be opening for the Christmas season the week after Thanksgiving Mon-Fri 9-5 and Sat 9-4. If you need poisettias or fresh wreaths before then, give Michelle a call at 326-3129 to make special arrangements.
Have a great holiday season!

Mummin' Right Along...
Well, we are well into mum season. Some have already come and gone. This weekend was the Heritage Festival in Pendleton. Whew, what a busy time! It took the whole family to pitch in and help out. We still have plenty of mums and asters in bloom and several that are just beginning to pop. Come on out and see for yourself. They are $5.50 a piece. We also have flowering kale. Here is a kinda crappy picture that I took with my cell phone but, it gets the point across...lots of beautiful mums for sale!! Hope to see you soon!

Veggies!
Hey all! What a crazy summer!
Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know what is going on.
Mom, dad and Michelle have been working hard planting and maintaining the garden, so there are lots of vegetables for sale. We currently have cucumbers, zucchini, green bell peppers, tomatoes and sweet corn. There is a table sitting out by the road in front of the greenhouse with the produce on it.
Also, the mums are starting to show color, so you can come out anytime to pick them up. Remember, the earlier you get them in the ground to establish, the greater the chance that they'll come back next year!

Because of the Wonderful Things She Does...
Well, Michelle and the Sunnyside crew have been hard at work. They have many of our customer's refill planters finished and have filled some new ones to be sold. If you have a refill or a hanging basket that we are holding for you, we ask that you pick them up before Mother's day. We are ready for the rain to stop and the busy season to begin. We are now open M-F until 6, Saturday 9-5, and Sunday noon-4. We also have gotten in a new shipment of mandevillas, since our first batch sold out almost immediately.

Easter is Near
Easter is just 10 days away now, and we have gotten our Easter flowers in at the greenhouse. We have beautiful Easter lilies, pink tulips and daffodils all selling for $8.50. They don't look like much right now, but 2 or 3 days in a warm greenhouse will make the blooms pop. I love these spring flowers! The bulbs from all three can be planted in the ground and will come up next year! Although I have never had an Easter lily bloom at Easter once I plant them in the ground, they look pretty in the summer too!
We have our onion plants in this week too.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
Spring is almost here, but the fun has already begun in the greenhouses. We already have nearly 3 greenhouses full of plants! Many of them still have months to go, but the pansies and snapdragons are cold tolerant and ready to go now!
It is also time to start digging those planters, window boxes, and topiaries out of the garage. Start thinking about emptying out any remaining soil and plant material from last year and bringing them over to the greenhouse to place your order. You can bring these items in any time before mother's day weekend to be refilled, we just ask that you pick finished planters up before mother's day weekend. The earlier you get your planters in, the larger the selection of plants to fill them!
That's about all I have for now. Just wanted to give you a taste of what's been going on around the greenhouse in these late winter months.
Perennials
Gallon size geraniums
almost full
gerbera daisies
bougainvillea
Michelle working hard
Tiny Vegetables
Clematis
Also, keep your eyes open downtown Greenfield this spring/summer as Sunnyside will be filling the lamppost baskets with beautiful flowers! Have a great St. Pat's!!
